Brick Street Furniture Co. & Wine Lounge, Sabetha, KS

We dined at the Brick Street Furniture Co. & Wine Lounge on Friday, May 7, 2021 at about 5:30 pm. The outside had a smooth concrete ramp to an attractively lit two-story brick building. It was obvious it was an older building that they updated, which I love!

First walking in, it was full of trendy furniture and decor which you could easily spend a half hour meandering around and shopping! But that's not all! As you walk in, a front counter wait staff greets you and takes you to their dining area! The tables are mismatched from long farm-style tables to high bar tops to intimate 2-person tables. And I just love that aesthetic! Along with a long bar with big comfortable armed bar stools!

The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating! The menu had unique choices like calamari sticks, lamb burgers and banh mi, along with classic steaks and burgers! And don't forget the WINE WALL! At the far end of the dining area was a wine dispenser! Not only beautiful and impressive-looking, it serves as the perfect pour to servers who are in a hurry! I enjoyed a glass of pinot grigio while my husband had an IPA.

My son tried calamari for the first time! He said it was "ok" but didn't really want any more! I had crab cakes which were delicious, although a bit too salty. My husband had the banh mi. He said it was really tasty, but the meat were in meatball shape. And for whatever reason, he hates that shape in his meat! He would have rather have slices of pork belly, but a minor inconvenience for him. My son had the fried ravioli and he devoured it! My daughter loved the French fries!

I love that this place is fancy enough for a date night or a special occasion, but still down-to-earth enough for weary travelers-like us! We really loved this place and HIGHLY RECOMMEND it! In fact, I might skip I-70 next time we head east and get on HWY 36 just to eat here again!
